Lovely overnight stay, perfect for wedding guests
Beautiful building and surrounds, breakfast was better than expected, with plenty of options. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Room didn’t have the old worlde feeling like exterior. With two people the room and bathroom felt quite pokey, we only stayed for a night and wasn’t much of a problem.

Use of pool
Told we could pay at property using cash but instead had full payment taken before arrival on credit card and charged surcharge, more than was stated on booking.com, then they wouldn't refund the over charge. Lounge bar would not accept cash.

Beautiful, relaxing and restful especially midweek when not many people around.
Location was great (zoo, winery, mansion and rose garden all within walking distance from accommodation). Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. Staff friendly, helpful and obliging. Especially bar attendant who delivered our wine and food to Library as we sat beside the open fire each night. Plenty to do during our midweek 3 night stay. Acres and acres of scenic walks, great spa and swimming pool, massages available, giant pool table, bar and restaurant and relaxation by fire in library all at accommodation. Also the hours spent looking the Mansion was interesting.

Very Good
Very close to the zoo. Breakfast was huge and superb (your monies worth). Nice peaceful mark to wonder around.
Abit far from amentities like supermarket. Driving in at night was challenging. Lighting in the room is abit dim.
